As the development of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation is very fast, the Corporation officials should provide basic amenities such as roads, lighting, vegetable markets, grave yards, city beautification, planting saplings, road widening, parking areas, sanitation and other convenient parameters, said Vakati Karuna, Special officer and District collector.

She reviewed all subjects concerned with Municipality with Municipal Commissioner and all wing officials of Corporation on Saturday at the Corporation Office. She directed the officials to provide basic amenities at Kumarpally market and aware vendors to maintain their stalls’ cleanliness, for easy traffic regulation.

Enumamula market, Balasamudram vegetable market and Grain market should be developed aesthetically to ensure the selling of fresh vegetables, flowers and fish, instead of selling them on roads. Vakati Karuna said that at Kazipet vendors are selling vegetables, fish, mutton and chicken on the roads and directed the officials to ensure that the vendors are selling their products in the Jubile market.

The District Collector also asked to provide modern facilities at five major grave yards in the city on the lines of Shiva Mukthi Dham at Hanumakonda. Commissioner Sarferaj Ahmed said that all steps are being taken for the all-round development, focusing sanitation. Municipal officials and Kakatiya Urban Development Authority Officials participated in the meeting.
