Arrest of TDP workers condemned
Telangana TDP senior leader and former minister Motkupalli Narsimhulu on Sunday condemned the arrest of party activists and leaders in the wake of the visit of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to Warangal district.
“As the Chief Minister is visiting Warangal district, police have arrested TDP workers, including leaders, without any reason,” he alleged. Questioning the arrest of party leaders, Motkupalli said the arrested party leaders were neither terrorists nor militants. In a statement, Motkupalli said, “Shop owners were asked to shut down their business houses and policemen were harassing every person they came across at Aleru town.
The Chief Minister can visit any place. But, in the name of Chief Minister’s visit, how can the TDP leaders be taken into custody in the wee hours from their houses?”
