Dindi project gets Cabinet nod

The State government has agreed to release the job notifications for various departments in July. The Cabinet has discussed the issue extensively.

-Given its nod to the Dindi Lift Irrigation Project for Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts. Water would be taken from Srisailam reservoir and Rs 35,000 crores allocated for this purpose.

-Decided to establish 10 residential schools and 10 hostels for minority students

-A Cabinet subcommittee is formed under Tummala Nageshwar and Kadiyam Srihari to study the modalities for speedy completion of the pending projects in the State

-Given its nod to provide Rs 5 lakh to the toddy tappers and fishermen

-Decided to work on the idea of providing nutritious food to the students of social welfare schools

- The State government would take a call on its Excise Policy and officials have been instructed to formulate a policy to save people from consuming ‘Gudumba’

-Decided to establish a Food, Science & Technology college in Rudrur village of Nizamabad
